Madrassa Students Triumph in National Robotics Contest

In the 19th National Engineering Robotics Contest (NERC) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Madrassa students outperformed dozens of colleges and universities.

This event is a collaboration between NUST and the STEM Careers Program of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Participants from schools, colleges, and universities across Pakistan competed between 11 and 15 July for top honors in the field of automation and robotics. Madrassa Jamia Baitussalam stood out among the competitors, earning accolades and recognition.

In a tweet, Baitussalam Welfare Trust, the organization behind Jamia Baitussalam, expressed gratitude by expressing immense gratitude and thankfulness to Allah for the remarkable success achieved in the National Robotics Contest.

With multiple competitions under its belt in the past, NERC was the institute’s pinnacle of achievement. Students worked tirelessly on this grand event. Attained both the 1st and 2nd positions in the Ready to Race category, Jamia Baitussalam secured the first position in the Modular School category.

In order to promote the integration of robots into agriculture, the 19th NERC was organized by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and the Society of Mechatronics Engineers.

A testament to Jamia Baitussalam’s exceptional talent and dedication is its success in NERC. Besides bringing honor to their institution, their achievement demonstrates the potential of Madrassa education in diverse fields such as robotics and automation.
